Prasanna Ganapule

Prasanna started taking Hindustani classical music lessons at the age of 13. Five years of his training from Mr. Chandrakant Naik (Disciple of Pt. Jeetendra Abhisheki) in Pune, built a solid foundation for his voice after which he decided to move into Light music. During first year of Engineering (1995) he got an opportunity to sing in Pune's leading Marathi Music band 'Rasika Tujhyachsaathi'. Within a couple of years he joined 5 different Hindi and Marathi bands and performed all over India. Later he got opportunities to sing for Radio advertisements and a couple of Cassette releases. He has to his credit several award winning performances on popular TV shows like Sa Re Ga Ma, Mast Mast Show and concerts on Doordarshan and All India Radio. He also served as a Judge for many talent shows. 

Prasanna is now a member of all leading Hindi Music bands in Seattle since 2000. He has also been active in the Maharashtra Mandal of Seattle.

 

 

Jayant Bhopatkar

Jayant started Tabla training at the age of 9 and learnt Tabla for about 3 years from Mr. Vasant Keluskar, who used to play for live Sangeet Nataks in Mumbai. He has since then developed his tabla playing on his own, mostly in the Khayal accompaniment and some in the Bhakti-geet and Sugam-sangeet areas. Has accompanied many reknowned artists visiting from India such as Veena Sahasrabuddhe, Laxmi Shanker, Aphale-bua, Sunil Mungi, and local artists such as Tapan Bhattacharya (Chicago), Sharad Gadre (Seattle), Gopal Marathe (Los Angeles), etc. He currently teaches Tabla to 4 students in Seattle.

Jayant came to the U.S. in 1986 and has been active in the Maharashtra Mandals of Chicago and Seattle with another favorite pasttime of his of acting, and has over 20 plays (Moruchi Maushi, Soujanyachi Aishi Taishi, Vichha Maazi Puri Kara, Shantecha Karta Chaalu Aahey, etc.) to his credit.

 

 

Anjali Joshi
Learnt playing musical instruments from Shankarrao Kulkarni. She was in Warana Children's Orchestra since she was 9. Started her music career with playing harmonium and she now has mastery over 'Santur'.
 
Amol Kelkar
Amol got his initial training from his father. Won various competitions during college days. After coming to the US, he went back to the music of his roots and turned to Marathi and Hindi music. He took an initiative to form a hindi band 'AllGoRhythms' and he has also been performing with 'Anamika' in Seattle. He has been taking Hindustani classical lessons for about one and half years from Mr. Sharad Gadre. Building on the Harmonium background, he has also started playing keyboards recently.
